Supplies: A graphing calculator is required, a TI-86, TI-83 or TI-84 is recommended. CAS calculators will NOT be allowed for use during a test. A cell phone/smartphone may NOT be used as a calculator.

Method of Evaluation:

Tests - There will be four tests given during the course of the semester. If you must miss a test, you can make arrangements to take the test ahead of time, but NOT after the test has been administered in class. If you miss a test you will receive a 0. You may replace one test grade with your final exam grade. 

Lab Grade -The lab portion will consist of in class presentations and 4 lab quizzes. .

Homework Grade -There will be 4 homework modules, each module grade is worth 100 points. The homework grade is the average of the 4 homework module grades.

Final Exam - There will be a comprehensive final exam.

Grading Policy:

The final course grade will be determined by adding 55% of the average of the four test grades, 15% of the lab average, 10% of the homework average, and 20% of the final exam grade. The following scale will be used to assign the final course grade:

90 - 100

B

80 - 89

C

70 - 79

D

60 - 69

F

0 - 59

Attendance Policy:

Students are expected to attend class. If you must miss a class, you are responsible for the material that was covered.
Classroom Policy:

DO NOT DISTRACT class by texting, reading or sending e-mail, or doing any unrelated web surfing during class time.
There are NO restroom breaks during a test.
Any disruptive behavior will be referred to the Dean of Students.

Course Withdrawl Policy:

The last day to withdraw from the course with a grade of "W" is March 9, 2018. The student must initiate the drop process through the Student Development Center at any campus.
