Attendance

While attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that students attend class. If you miss one or more classes, you are responsible for the material covered in class . If you do miss it is recommended that you:

  1. Read the textbook and work through the examples, then attempt the homework.
  2. Bring any questions you have to me during my office hours or try the Math Lab.

You are also responsible for any changes that are made in the class schedule.

Office Hours

These are hours for you to come by and ask questions. If you cannot make the designated hours, please contact me and we can arrange another time. If you are having trouble with the material, do not wait until test time. Get your questions answered as soon as possible.

Assignments

Late work (labs, assigned homework) for a grade will not be accepted. There are no make ups for missed class work. If you must miss a class, you can turn in your work by:

  1. Having a friend turn it in for you.
  2. E-mail it to me at bardis@ccccd.edu.

It is also important for you to keep up with the work that is not turned in for a grade. This is the material you are responsible for on the test.

Tests

If you cannot make a scheduled test, notify me as soon as possible and we will make arrangements. If you do not notify me by test time it will be a zero on that test. On any test requiring the use of a graphing calculator, the memory will be cleared before and after the test. After taking a test given in the testing center, do not discuss the test with your classmates. Doing so is grounds for a zero on the test. If you have a question concerning your grade on any particular test, it must be brought to my attention the class period you receive the test.
