Carter Scaggs has been teaching at Collin College since 1993. He teaches Design I, Life Drawing I & II, Life Drawing Portfolio, Printmaking I & II, and Printmaking Portfolio.

The intaglio and linocut printmaking processes and drawing are Professor Scaggs' preferred media, and ee has shown his work in galleries and competitions nationally. Mr. Scaggs received his B.F.A in Printmaking from the University of North Texas and his M.F.A. in Printmaking from Indiana University.

As a second-generation artist/teacher, Mr. Scaggs has been involved in art education from an early age. His philosophy of teaching is based on what he remembers of his best teachers. They shared their knowledge, loved their craft and sought to help each student be successful.
