 1) Take one picture of an abstract IDEA ( such as beauty, truth, goodness, hunger) and write brief description & title that identifies its content & subject matter.

2) Take one picture of an abstract FORM (Example:  an extreme close-up or odd angle of something that has been captured in a way that makes the object unidentifiable; in other words, no one should be able to figure out exactly what it is.) Then, write brief description & title that identifies its content & subject matter.

3) Select SEVEN different elements of composition and/or principles of design and take a photo that embodies that specific element or principle.  Identify each one you choose and write a brief description & title for the picture that identifies its content & subject matter.

Take a photo that represents the “Face of American Culture” in a creative way; then come up with a caption for your photo.
(NOTE: This doesn't have to be an actual face but rather something that depicts or is emblematic of American cultural beliefs, values, and behaviors.)

5) Take a group photo that expresses HOW your group worked together, and write a short explanation of what message you are trying to express with this image.

6) For your FINAL SHOT, take a picture of someone's hand to signal where your group's photos end and the next class's begin.
