A&P Basics Discussion Topics
|
Make sure you read the instructions below before beginning any discussion topic.
Use Cougar Web to access the course in Canvas.
NOTE: If Cougar Web or Canvas servers are down or disabled, please send your discussion or critique via email attachment to your instructor. Once Canvas is available, your instructor will post your discussion or critique via your attachment.
Discussion topics are presented on Sundays and will be open for comments for two weeks.
After you have researched your chat topic, click on the link to Cougar Web found under the table above and go to the Canvas portion of the course.
Use the proper discussion folder and "post" your thoughts / comments / research findings for the entire class to read during the two weeks the discussion topic is active. Once a new topic begins, the old discussions will be locked and/or deleted once the commentaries/critique due date has expired. The instructor will check for student participation as well as thoughtful, constructive comments for the discussions and critiques.
Post your discussion in the proper Canvas discussion folder labeled
for the
biweekly discussion.
Discussions are to be at least three paragraphs in length.
Good participation in four (4) different discussion topics will comprise the main part of your course participation grade. You must choose 3 topics from the instructor selected discussion list. The fourth topic may be from the instructor's list or one that you choose, which is called the "open" topic.
You may participate in more than four discussions, however, no extra credit will be given. The best three discussion grades will be used for this portion of the participation section.
Grading Rubric: 15 points maximum per discussion weekly topic (instructor selected topic list)
3 points for first well developed paragraph.
5 points for second well developed paragraph and URL references.
7 points for third paragraph: All questions are developed, supported, and fully answered.
