1. Define joint (articulation)

2. Know the types of joints based on structure (anatomy) and function/movement (physiology)

3. Be able to name any joint in the body using the bones or regions as a reference.

4. Define ROM and give the types of motion that can be achieved with specific examples.

5. Be able to discuss the factors for specific joints discussed :

• Shoulder
• Elbow
• Hip
• Knee

6. Generally know the wrist and ankle as a joint and movements attainable

7. Define other terms related to joints such as flex, extend, adduction, abduction, circumduction, supination, pronation, and others.

8. Know the Knee very well :

• bones involved
• ALL ligaments (extra and intra)
• menisci
• other stablizing factors
• problems

9. Name two problems with joints

10. Discuss the histological structure and function of the synovial membrane
