Pre-Testing Link Page

Prior to taking any test:

  1. Make sure that you are ready to take the test.
  2. No resource is to be used during the test.
  3. Have your word processing program open to record your answers.
  4. Follow the testing instructions given

You are about to enter a secure environment for testing using a password to access the testing links
Use the test links to access the instructions given for that test.

The password program has been tested in Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
If you are using IE 7.0 you will have to allow trusted sites. Instructions are below or click this link.

Your alternative choice is to use IE 6.0 or download and use Mozilla Firefox.

Do NOT use IE 8.0 as the college does not support this version.



The password was given to you by your instructor toward the end of the first week of classes.

Instructions for IE 7:

NOTE: If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) 7.0 you will need to allow access to the javascript program that controls the password page. You must set up IE access first, so print this page (if needed), close this website, and follow these instructions to set up your IE password access:

From the main IE page, click on Tools --> Internet Options-->Security-->Select the Trusted Sites green check mark then click Sites.
On this page you must first make sure the check box at the bottom which says "require server verification (https) for all sites" is UNCHECKED. Then type in this address: http://iws.collin.edu
Click Add and close out menu boxes. Your settings have been saved and you should now have access. Reopen the website and click the links to bring you back to this page. A password dialog box should now open by clicking the link below to allow you to type in your password and access the testing links page.
