I envision these paintings– less as landscapes. I approach them more like portraits.; capturing images of ‘Old Frisco’. The spaces where we live and work become filled with content, stories and emotion. Urban sprawl effects communities like Frisco in it’s loss of simplicity, character, and true diversity. We trade the regionally unique for homogeneous convenience.

Water Towers

The water towers of small Texas towns have always held my interest. Their iconic presence on the horizon is an image of identity for these smaller communities. The angles, play of light on the forms, and the stark contrast with the forever changing Texas skies cause me to revisit them as a subject.
