Administrative and Teaching Experience
Plan, coordinate, schedule, and evaluate the Math courses
Participate in budgeting and help in managing capital, physical, and instructional equipment and materials of the department
Assist with the development and the implementation of the academic strategic plan within the department
Recruit, interview, and recommend employment of culturally diverse associate faculty
Supervise faculty and coordinate the departmental affairs of the Math department
Organize faculty professional development seminars and workshops necessary to improve instruction and to maintain the knowledge of current practices/trends that affect the teaching field of mathematics to a scholarly community
Manage departmental academic affairs including the development of class schedule, course syllabi, course inventory, and college catalog;
Coordinate full time and associate faculty teaching schedules
Resolve students’ complaints and conduct class visitations and written evaluations of associate faculty
Coordinate textbook selection within the department and place bookstore orders
Manage the selection of materials such as instructional equipment, computer software, and lab materials for the department
Teach nine credit hours per academic term
