As noted earlier, two versions of the Four Worlds exist in the Qabbalah. We have seen the earlier, first version already. In the second version, the Tree of Life is a world in itself, though it is not one of the Four Worlds. The Tree of Life in this version is known as the Archetypic World (connecting it with the Archetypic Man). The Archetypic World has this name because it is the archetype or model upon which the other four worlds are constructed. Each of the four worlds contains a Tree of Life structure,17 and these four "Tree" worlds are given the names of the Four Worlds of the single tree in the previous version: Emanation, Creation, Formation, and Action. These four trees can be laid out to form a cross (Fig. 6), which represents the Chariot-Throne of earlier tradition.
